I've had the Supernova Halo 180 for a little over a year now and have used it on numerous scouting and personal camp-outs. The low-profile design is excellent for small-to-medium tents while the high-output lamp will light even a large family-sized tent. The integrated carabiner-style hanger is very convenient. The magnetic base has proved helpful on a couple of home repairs. USB rechargeable saves on batteries. I've recharged from a vehicle 12V port, portable battery pack, and solar panel all without issue. The three different output settings allows you to manage light need vs. power conservation easily. Quite simply, this thing rocks! It's durable, holds a charge incredibly long, and is bright enough for pretty much anything you'll need a small lantern for. I like the swivel clip on top, which allows me to clip it and shine it in most any direction from a branch, tent top, or whatever you have available. I bought this one just so I had a back-up to the original one I got about 7 years ago. And yes... that one is still working just great! When you have a reliable product like this, you ALWAYS want a spare laying around just in case ;)
I received a Supernova Halo 180 Rechargeable lantern as a gift about 3 years ago. It has had almost daily use ever since I got it. It is definitely the most useful and versatile light I have ever had. Unfortunately, I dropped it last week and broke it. Realizing that I felt really handicapped without it, I immediately ordered a new one. It arrived three days after placing the order!! Wow!
